Doers
of the Word
“For
it is not the hearers of the Law who are to be just before God,
but
the doers of the Law will be justified.”
When we were children, how often did our parents have to repeat
themselves in order to get us to do something?
Often times as a child I remember being rebellious and not doing what my
mom and dad told me to do.
I would have every excuse in the book to convince them the reason I did
not do it was a good one, I would argue and even lie at times.
I knew exactly what I was supposed to do; it was made clear by mom and
dad! I
was so consumed with what I wanted to do, not with what needed to be done.
We can become so selfish in our lives as adults that we may never get on
track with what the Lord desires from us.
The scripture says to be doers of the Word not just hearers, for we will
not be found just before God if we do not act on what has been spoken to us by
the Holy Spirit.
In order for the “Church” to flourish we must humble ourselves before
the Lord and respond to the Command that He has given to us.
Our lives are not our own we have been bought with a price; therefore be
encouraged to fight the good fight, our focus must be on the eternal prize.
We all need to strive for the day we stand before the Lord and hear the
words of being found just by the One True Living God.
We are saved by the grace of Jesus Christ but our Christian walk does not
stop there, our new lives have just begun.
Please pray for the Church and the furthering of Christ’s bride, the
fight today is greater than anyone ever imagined.
We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us; He will go before
us in all we do if we wait on the Him.
Be patient be strong in your faith, be strong in the Lord and never be
ashamed.
All
in the Name of Christ.
